Best Velvet Dresses
What I love about this dress: This dress is striking, rhinestones on black velvet are always a great combination. It has a great fit; even if you are not super thin this dress will look great on you. This dress also comes in a maxi version if you need a gown for a best friend’s wedding or your niece / nephew’s wedding this is a great option.
I absolutely love printed velvet!! It’s slightly vintage, but also so chic. This dress has puff sleeves and a V neck, which adds interest. I would style it with a black turtleneck shell. Another strong point for this dress is how versatile it is. You can wear it for a vort, wedding, or a Shabbos morning kiddush. And the price is quite affordable too.
This dress reminds me of the 1920’s flapper style. It has a certain elegance and would look great on a long lean figure. I feel that this dress is mature, you will not see the teenagers in it. Style with a long strand of pearls, you will turn heads.
I love the color and print of this dress. The black on white is just great and it has a shimmer and aliveness to it. It is more on the fitted side. I can see myself wearing a dress like this all Shabbos long, from Friday night straight through to Havdalah. This dress is a bit on the pricier side, but one thing I always say is – why do we spend so much money on a wedding dress that we barely wear and neglect ourselves when it comes to something we can wear all Shabbos long. We should look beautiful for Shabbos even in our own home (I will have a post at some point on great Shabbos dresses / robes).
This dress reminds me of the Madeline books. It has a certain preppy look about it. I think it would look great with a wide leather belt. The beauty of this dress is in its simplicity. Tory Burch has a really nice fit.
If you want a classy dress but you just don’t want to wear black again this is a great dress for you. I love the lace and the bow. This is a great fit and flare style, it will make your waist look tiny while hiding everything else.
This dress is so unique and gorgeous, the fabric practically shimmers. I can see this on a kallah for her Vort or Sheva Brochos. This can also be worn to a good friend’s wedding. Style with an exact color shell, nude stockings, and a brown suede pump.
This dress is affordable and cute. It’s great for a teenage girl or to wear as a Friday night dress. The fit on this dress is magic it looks good on everyone. If you want to have a bit of fun, you can wear it with a printed turtleneck underneath.
