Back To School
It’s that time of year again. Summer is winding down and Yom Tov season is almost here. It’s time to get the girls set up for school. Besides uniforms and school supplies, there are some (mostly) essential items they will need to start the school year right.
Let’s make the back to school shopping a breeze!!
Shoes
Is it the first day of school without a shiny new pair of shoes? Here are some shoes which I think are great school options.
Who remembers Bass loafers? Well, they are back! But these have a chunkier sole which is trendier right now (they still have the original version if you like that better). A classic shoe, with a new twist and great quality. These shoes run generously.
Another great loafer in suede. They are available in a few color options including black. I like the olive green for the fall.
Sam Edelman shoes are always a classic well made shoe for a good price, and these shoes are a great school option.
J.Crew is having a comeback! (Did they change, or have styles just gotten more preppy?) These lug loafers are literally the perfect school shoe. They come in a less chunky version as well, though I think this sole is great, a little chunk but not too much.
Another great loafer that comes in a bunch of color options.
These are another less chunky option for loafers at a cheaper price point. Many color options are available.
I love these loafers as well, they come in multiple color options (the blue is my favorite). They are also at a great price.
Another classic loafer at a great price.
Every school has different rules regarding shoe color/ soles / style. I am posting some sneakers for the schools that allow it because who doesn’t want to be comfortable and look cute at the same time.
These sneakers are an appropriate option for school, they are not too sporty and will go nicely with dark socks (you can change the laces to black if you prefer).
Another great pair of sneakers for school (or Sundays) that will work great with black socks.
I love how New Balance is having its day in the limelight! These are super cute sneakers that can work nicely for school.
Great slip on sneakers for those mornings when there is no time to tie your laces!!
Another slip on sneaker in a classic shape and the woven design gives it a high end vibe. These are high quality shoes and are worth the price, if you want something that will last and be comfortable all day long.
These shoes are really a little expensive for a school shoe in my opinion, but I wanted to post then because they are a good cross between a loafer and a sneaker. They are very well made and comfortable. They come in so many gorgeous colors (hunter green!!) and they have an all-black option including the sole – for the schools that don’t allow white soles (if YKYK).
Another all black option if your school does not allow white soles but you still want to wear sneakers.
School Bags
A very classic sleek bag for a great price, it comes in some printed versions as well.
A great lululemon backpack. It comes in a bunch of colors including black.
Here is another cute lululemon bag
Love love love how sleek this bag is! They call this the mini bag, but it is not that small (it can fit a 15” laptop). There is a larger option too.
Another very sleek bag from Rains (they are waterproof!). I am loving the greens this season but if you prefer, this bag comes in black too.
Accessories
A “too cool for school water bottle”! This is the 18oz bottle, there is also the larger 24oz available. Also, are you seeing the green theme??
If you are the girl who wants to get your gallon of water in, this is the water bottle for you.
These really cute alo hair ties are a great addition to your wardrobe. They come in colored options too.
Really cute alo scrunchies! And yes, green is a thing! They are low in color options right now, but I am sure they will be getting new colors in for the new season so check back.
A pack of three scrunchies in different metal finishes on the logo.
I hope this helped you with your back to school shopping. Let me know if there is something you would like me to feature.
